(San Francisco) – PG&E Corporation (NYSE:
PCG) announced the election of Hyun Park, 45, as Senior
Vice President and General Counsel, effective today,
November 13, 2006. Park succeeds Bruce R. Worthington,
who had served as PG&E Corporation Senior Vice President
and General Counsel since 1997.
In his new position, Park will be responsible for
leading and directing the legal function for PG&E
Corporation and its businesses, including its principal
subsidiary, Pacific Gas and Electric Company. Park’s
major responsibilities will include oversight of corporate
governance, all regulatory and securities law compliance,
litigation strategy, and all legal matters related
to significant corporate transactions.

Park joins PG&E Corporation from Allegheny Energy,
Inc., in Greensburg, PA, where he was Vice President,
General Counsel and Secretary. He previously served
as Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary
of Sithe Energies, Inc., in New York, NY. Park was
also a partner with the law firm of Latham & Watkins,
where he specialized in corporate transactions and
finance.
Park is a graduate of Harvard Law School. He also holds
a graduate degree in economics from Oxford University
and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Columbia
College. He is a member of the State Bar of California.
