BETHESDA, Md. - PG&E National
Energy Group has named Thomas E. Legro to the newly created position
of vice president and chief accounting officer, overseeing the company's
accounting and financial reporting functions. In addition, he serves
as the company's controller.
Legro, 50, previously served
as vice president and controller at Edison Mission Energy, where
he also held earlier posts of manager of financial planning and
analysis and assistant controller. Legro also has worked for British
Petroleum, serving as controller in BP's Advanced Materials unit
and as assistant controller for BP North American Operations.
Legro holds a bachelor's
degree in accounting from the City University of New York and a
master's degree in business administration and accounting from Iona
College in New Rochelle, New York.

in the energy industry will bring a key dimension to PG&E National
