David Gee Appointed Vice President For Strategic Planning For PG&E Corporation


San Francisco – PG&E Corporation (NYSE: PCG) has appointed David S. Gee, 45, as Vice President for Strategic Planning. Gee brings to the new post more than 15 years of experience in strategic management consulting with McKinsey & Company.

In his new role at PG&E Corporation, Gee will help lead the development of the company’s overall strategy, with a focus on creating shareholder value.

“David Gee strengthens our management team,” said PG&E Corporation Chairman, CEO and President Robert D. Glynn, Jr. “He brings the experience and expertise necessary to make a major contribution as we look to grow our existing operations and leverage PG&E Corporation’s strengths in new ways.”

Gee’s experience at McKinsey & Company—where he was a Principal in the Global Energy Practice and a member of the European Petroleum, Electric Utility, and Chemicals Practice—encompassed all segments of the energy industry. Before joining McKinsey & Company, Gee was an associate with the consulting firm of Booz Allen & Hamilton in Houston, Texas. He also held several positions with Baker International in Houston, including a post as marketing manager.

Gee earned a master’s degree in management with a concentration in finance from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1978. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Virginia, where he graduated in 1976.

Gee reports to PG&E Corporation Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Peter A. Darbee.
