PG&E Corporation Supports Proposed Lieberman – Warner Climate Change Initiative

(San Francisco) – PG&E Corporation (NYSE: PCG) issued the following statement in support of the efforts by Senator Joseph Lieberman, I-D Connecticut, and Senator John Warner, R-Virginia, to draft a comprehensive climate change bill.

"PG&E welcomes Senator Lieberman and Senator Warner's announcement to bring a comprehensive climate change bill before their subcommittee before the August recess,” said Steven Kline, Vice President of Environmental and Federal Affairs for PG&E Corporation. “PG&E believes the link between greenhouse gas emissions and the Earth's warming climate is convincing; the potential consequences are serious; and the need for action is urgent. Today's announcement represents an important step to advance legislation. We welcome the opportunity to work with the senators and the committee in support of their efforts to develop meaningful legislation to address this pressing issue."
