“Today’s announcement reinforces the fact that we have incredible talent within our current team and that we also can enhance our management team from the outside as well,” said Peter A. Pruett is being promoted from his current role as vice president, Corporate Relations, which he assumed in March. He is responsible for all branding and advertising efforts for both the Corporation and the utility, as well as leading and managing all communications activities for the entire enterprise. He previously worked as the vice president of communications and marketing for the American Gas Association. Pruett has 27 years of experience and expertise in communications and public affairs, including senior leadership positions at Bechtel and PG&E. He has a B.A. in journalism from California State University Fresno. He reports to Peter Darbee.

Lawicki joined Pacific Gas and Electric Company as vice president and chief information officer in January 2005. In her new role she will continue to lead the Information Technology group, including the support of current mission-critical systems and the development of the technology strategy and architecture for the utility’s Business Transformation initiatives. Previously, Lawicki held a number of leadership positions at NiSource, Inc., an electric and gas utility holding company headquartered in Indiana. She has a bachelor’s degree in technology management from Purdue University, as well as a master’s degree and an MBA from Indiana University. She reports to Pacific Gas and Electric Company President and CEO Bill Morrow.

Williams previously held a variety of positions in customer service, marketing and distribution operations. She has a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of Miami and an MBA from Nova Southeastern University. Williams reports to Morrow and she succeeds Jeffrey T. Butler, who will become senior vice president of transformation initiatives.

In addition to leading the Energy Delivery organization, Butler has been integral in helping oversee the utility’s large-scale effort to transform the way it does business. In his new position, he will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and counsel to Morrow as the company takes its transformation efforts beyond this year. Butler has been with the utility since 1979, holding a variety of engineering positions in the hydroelectric business before moving on to multiple management roles in generation, electric transmission and distribution. He also served as vice president, Distribution Operations, Maintenance and Construction prior to his current role. Butler received his B.S. in electrical and electronic engineering from California State University, Chico.

Hayes will report to the senior vice president, energy delivery.

Johnson currently serves as senior director of electric operations and engineering. In his new position he will have the primary responsibility for directing the electric transmission and distribution operations and engineering function throughout the service area and the utility’s overall electric delivery strategy.
